Former Rangers manager Mark Warburton has hailed current boss Steven Gerrard and has tipped the Ibrox club to win the Scottish Premiership title NEXT season.Rangers travel to face Hibernian at Easter Road on Friday night aiming to reduce the gap at the top to league leaders Celtic.The Gers currently sit in second place, eight points beneath their Old Firm rivals who, despite losing manager Brendan Rodgers to Leicester City, look set to be crowned champions for the eighth straight year.2

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is doing well in his debut campaign.

But Warburton, who led the club back into the top flight in 2016, believes Rangers will end Celtic’s long hegemony next season, saying it was always a tough ask this year in Gerrard’s first campaign as a coach.I want to see Rangers do really well and Im desperate to see them win the title again, he told talkSPORT host Jim White on Friday.Ive got to say, Steven Gerrard has done a great job. When you look at the type of the players theyve brought on board, I absolutely believe they should be pushing hard.I still think Celtic have too much this season, but I have no doubts next season for Steven, for the Rangers squad and the Rangers fans, thats the year theyll really push for that title.
