Mick McCarthy has been appointed Republic of Ireland manager until the end of Euro 2020, the Football Association of Ireland have confirmed.McCarthy takes charge on a two-year deal with Stephen Kenny, who takes immediate charge of the Under-21s, succeeding him after the next European Championship finals.
