The frontman picked up the ball inside the box before eventually getting his shot away, which took a huge deflection off Eric Dier before dropping into the net.4

The game appeared to be drifting away from England until Jesse Lingard and Jadon Sancho were thrown on and their impact was immediate.The hosts found a second wind and Lingard levelled the score – tapping the ball home on the goalline after Joe Gomez’s long throw bamboozled the Croatian defence.Croatia nearly regained straight away but Pickford got a strong hand to Domagoj Vida’s powerful header.And Zlatko Dalic’s men were made to pay when Kane turned home Ben Chilwell’s free-kick from the left on 85 minutes to send England to the finals of the Nations League.4
