United are negotiating a deal with Swansea over a fee for the winger, who is expected become Solskjaer’s first summer signing at a cost of around 15million.James has enjoyed an excellent season at the Liberty Stadium and caught the eye of a wider audience with a stunning performance in Swansea’s FA Cup quarter-final defeat by Manchester City.The 21-year-old has just a season left on his contract with the Championship club, and looked set to leave for Leeds United in January only for the move to collapse at the eleventh hour.
