Speaking to the media, Gundogan said: “There is no decision yet, otherwise I would have signed.“I would say we are still in talks but I don’t feel there is much pressure.“We are still competing in all competitions and want to win every competition we are competing for.”Gundogan is a valued member of the City squad although he has never been an automatic starter under manager Pep Guardiola.

Hopefully we can be in the quarter-finals but the teams will be of a similar level to Real Madrid.”City fans have been relatively lukewarm towards the Champions League, regularly booing its pre-match anthem, but Guardiola senses a growing love for the competition.He said: “I think last time there were less boos. Now people are starting to enjoy this competition, they are feeling like we can do it together.”
