Despite his injury setback, Longstaff has emerged as a shock transfer target for Manchester United. When asked about the reported interest, the 21-year-old told NUFC TV: It shows how far I have come.If someone told me at the start of the season I’d be getting linked with these teams I’d have laughed. I’m massively flattered to have my name even mentioned in those conversations but like I said, I’m 100 per cent focused on Newcastle and trying to get fit and get back in the team here.I have had a small taste of it, and I want more. I want to get fit and be in for a whole season.Real Madrid unveil their new kit for the 2019-20 season Longstaff, a Newcastle academy graduate, signed a new four-year contract with the club in December having finally broken into the first-team.

After his latest snub by England boss Gareth Southgate, the defender was keen to point out the fact that hes competing with World Cup semi-finalists.I thought to myself all season that Im trying to get into a squad that just reached a World Cup semi-final.Theyre a really good squad. England is the pinnacle of any Englishmans career. Ive not really thought about it all year, to be honest. If it comes, itll be amazing, but I dont overthink it because itll become a little bit of a problem.During a season which has seen Wolves beat Chelsea and Tottenham in the league, Coady insists the 2-1 victory over Man United on Saturday has been the highlight so far.

Sarri’s first impressions were not quite so glowing. Barkley arrived at Chelsea carrying a hamstring injury and played just four times under Antonio Conte, who Sarri succeeded in July.“At the beginning he was in trouble,” the 59-year-old former Napoli boss said.“In the first month he was in trouble. Then he started to improve in every training, in every match.”Barkley may be facing his boyhood club, but Sarri likes to take the emotion out of such occasions – and the Former Everton man may not start.Barkley’s England career is back on track3

Sarri added: “In every match I have a player who is an ex. I want to choose for another way, not for this kind of thinking.”Barkley did not play for Everton in the last seven months of his spell due to a hamstring problem and moved in a cut-price 15million deal, with his contract winding down.Barkley anticipates facing some hostility from Everton’s visiting supporters, after moving on following 13 years at Goodison Park. “I don’t think it (the reception) will be the best,” he said in the London Evening Standard.“I’m not nervous, I’m excited to play against my former club and team-mates – I understand how some of them play, so that could be an advantage for me.“On the day I might get a few nerves as it will feel a bit strange. I’m looking forward to catching up with some of the staff there who I used to get on really well with.”

A joint-statement read: Spirit of Shankly and Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust – the independent official fan groups of Liverpool and Spurs – are calling on the main sponsors of the UEFA Champions League to return a proportion of the tickets they have received for the Champions League final to the pot for supporters of both clubs.“We ask Nissan, Playstation, Gazprom, PepsiCo, Banco Santander, Mastercard, Heineken and Expedia Group to help redress the balance in the current unfair allocation that means fans of both competing clubs receive less than 25 per cent of available tickets.“As major sponsors of the UEFA Champions League, your companies appreciate the passion and dedication of the fans who follow their teams and make every game a spectacle. “But many of those fans who have followed their club throughout this season will miss out on the biggest game of all. As will thousands more loyal supporters.“SOS and THST believe such a gesture by the sponsors would help lift the occasion by increasing the number of passionate fans inside the stadium, and increase each brand’s standing on a global scale.“We also ask that each sponsor lobbies UEFA to allocate tickets for future finals on a fairer, more equitable spilt that has supporters benefit.”
